So. I've yet to book flights but I've entered the mega. Considering the 3rd or 4th til the 11th, in and out of Lyon. I don't really have any mates doing it though. Any folks want to jump on board and share a transfer? Or got room for one more? Much more fun and economical than getting a private transfer. 🙂

From lyon you can probably do the train to the end of the valley, then a bus to bourg/alp if you can't get in with others.
I hope to avoid that at all costs but good to know. Cheers
I did the train and bus option to gva, not that stressful apart from the bit getting over one platform. A good bike bag helps.
