Anyone running these... Maxxis Swampthing 2.35 Single Ply Maxxpro 60a?

£17.99 on CRC.

They seem a bargain at £17.99, but are they very heavy, wire bead etc?

I can't find any specificationms for them on the Maxxis website. Considering one for my winter mud front tyre, Bonty Mud-X on the back.

They are wire bead and quite heavy (not sure of weight) but very good tyres for winter, and well worth £17.99 imho

I run 2.1's (might be dual ply, no idea) great tyre right upuntill it's actualy dry (so less tyre changeing, like running high rollers in 'summer').

Would probably go for a 2.1 SPC supertacky next time as they don't like rocks in maxpro. But then again I ran them at quite high pressures to help them roll, whereas I run my highrollers at 25psi.

I've got some of those cheap ones, they are heavy, and no-where near as grippy as "proper" Swampthings.

At least run a supertacky on the front! IMHO they're not that heavy.

Mine weigh about 750g, which is just fine for my all mountain set up. I run a 60a out back and a super tacky up front.

Very grippy in extreme sloppy stuff & roots... highly recommended...but draggy on groomed, kitty litter, trail centres etc...

Yep, 42a front, 60a rear works well.
