Just bought a [url=
]new bike with a Hope Tech 2 brakes (160mm front).
I have a Hope rotor (203mm for M4 Mono). Can I just buy an adapter and put it on? I know it's overkill on an XC bike but I've got the rotor already and, has anyone ever said, "oooh, my brakes just work too well!" ๐
Is this the adapter I need?
Thanks
[url=
]pic of forks - I think I've got the right model but bought the bike and haven't seen it yet.

If its 32mm then 203. (If thats the right fork)
Thanks Mike.
Did I link to the correct adapter?
Seriously consider 180mm max on a 32mm fork.
I'd want to be 36mm before I'd consider touching 203mm discs.
Its a whole lot of unnecessary force to apply to your lowers when grabbing a handful of brake!
Nice bike!

Thanks. I will. I only weigh 70kg so it's not like I (or the bike) need the big disks...
Nice bike!
Thanks again. My first after a forced 7 year hiatus. A change from my last bike (a 456 with 150mm Vanillas, Mono M4s etc) but it's time to accept what kind of rider I am ๐
Blast from the past ^^^ welcome back!
Im running a 203mm disc on a 2008 Float 32 with no ill effects whatsoever. Mind you, I am 16st ish nekkid and I'd be happier over rather than underbraked every time!
Mike (makecoldplay history),
As you seem to have bought a new bike, do i assume you want me to retract the paypal request for the specialzed stumpjumper you agreed to buy?
Adam
Cheers guys.
I've emailed Fox to ask them and see what they say.
Yes please fattyres. Did you get my email?
The stumpy was for my wife though. The Rocky Mountain is for me.
Have 203 hope rotors on my five with 32 forks. Its 3 yrs old and had no issues. As above rather be over-braked than under, and its up to you whether you want the extra weight
