It depends what length of spacer you fit (and therefore how much you reduce the travel)

I don't reckon you'd get a Knard in there with the standard 29" spacer but you could always cut the spacers in half and add an extra piece in the middle to let you get as much travel as possible without the tyre fouling the crown.
In other words add an amount equal to the increase in radius over a 29" x 2.35 tyre, like a NN.
