Was about to buy a used croix de fer frame then found the nicasio on offer at wiggle for 550, it's a claris build, but I have some 10sp 105 sti and rear mech to put on. Anyone have one of these and how do they find it. Any comparisons with the 725 tubed croix de fer.

Don't own one but had one for a day and a bit test ride. Not light, but no heavier than a Croix really. Not a sprinter, nice smooth ride, pretty much what you'd expect from a steel bike with that geometry. I'm not sure I can feel the difference between 4130 and 725. There should be a weight savings but I'm not sure it's enough to tell.
I saw those - it's a good price, seems like a real bargain. The spec says the max Tyre is 37 I think but I know for a fact that you can get some 42mm semi knobby gravel type tyres in there.
Be warned though, I *think* those are liquidated Performance Bike stock from the US. CRC/Wiggle bought them from the liquidator but Marin didn't get their money from Performance, or from the liquidator, so they are refusing to warranty them. I'm not sure where UK law sits on that, though.
