Several people on here saying their wives/girlfriends hate the idea of blokes having shaved legs - anyone's partner actually prefer it?
MsD says my legs looked better the time I shaved them!
I did mine again this summer. I use a lot of sun cream and insect repellent in the summer and claggy leg hair is grim.
Does feel better. Cuts seem to heal better, mud comes off easier, they tan better.
Wife pretty indifferent to my body whether it's shaved or not....
Mine actually waxed me last month, apparently it was slightly weird at first when we started discussing techniques - but the shaved legs thing is well down the list of reasons why I'm a weirdo!
Anyway if I don't shave them I get ginger hairs sticking through my Lycra and it don't half itch!
Roadies ,lycra and hairy legs are just wrong.
I run a grade 1 clipper over mid thigh and down. Stops the worst of the mud clinging, while meaning I can still claim I'm a no shaver.
Same here and only need to do it a few times during spring/summer and takes about 5 minutes.
Purely for aesthetic reasons though as I am hairy and hairy legs with lycra shorts look very odd.
But where to stop? The average grizzly bear is bald compared to me. The only hair free places are bottoms of my feet and the top of my head.
Hairy shorts level, high leg panti line? Above the waist?
I suppose it would give the wife a break on the 1st Sunday of the month if there is an R in the month and its an odd number date because sex would be banned.
Yep - epilator works for me.
No going back once you start.
Real men use wax ๐
Where to stop? Err, I tend to go all the way and just leave my delicate areas trimmed but not shaved, manscaping I believe it is called, apparently makes the old boy look a touch bigger and frankly, I need all the help I can get in that area!

I guess that's why your palms aren't in the list...
Used to. Great talking point. Don't now, wife hates it.
Same here unfortunately. Though did use to feel a bit of a knob sometimes when out in shorts amongst non-cyclists.
As for aero, in TT I now use long socks with trip strips which are meant to be more aero than bare or shaved.
Edit... just to add that my legs are not very hairy anyway. If I had proper hairy legs then I'd definitely shave them, looks bloody awful on a road bike.

I always wondered who bought that overpriced guff.
I had my left leg waxed for charity. I coudldn't tell you whether it made any difference or not as I was neither fast enough or unlucky enough to find out. It did feel bloody weird, mind. I christened it Wet Leg Syndrome as my trouser hugged my baldy pin just as it would if it were wet. Anyway, yet another post by me that adds precisely nothing to the thread. As you were, chaps.
I love the wet leg feeling!

nah - big bag of lidl own brand - about 2p.
Mrs Yak isn't bothered either way - hairy or smooth.

Why didn't you get both done? Good opportunity to (presumably) get freebee smooth legs for a month there, whilst raising money.
Yak, it was a lad at work who was going to get his beard shaved off for charity. Now, considering it was little more than a "soul patch" I told him this wouldn't do and to get his legs done. He refused so I said I'd "go halves" with him so we had a leg each done.
Well spotted MrNice

Mine - Mrs Tyred complains when I go more than a few days and let them get stubbly. I like to take my time though and do it right and too many showers are too quick!
some people on here really aren't very secure in their sexuality, are they? methinks they do protest too much
Well said. Its 2015 - all this "that's so gay" patter just sounds either juvenile or bigoted these days, even in jest.
Only my face. Shaving other regions is not something I've even considered
Yeah I know that feeling. Feels ok in shorts, the cool breeze you get as you ride along is nice but weird in trousers and jeans. You don't notice how much your leg hair protects you from stuff til it's gone.I christened it Wet Leg Syndrome as my trouser hugged my baldy pin just as it would if it were wet.
Chaffage was what really put me off, fine after shaving and while wearing shorts in warm weather but as soon as I wore some jeans I'd get millions of red spots on my legs.

You gotta moisturise! Slather that stuff on!

Jesus shaves
I shave mine with a double edged razor...
High quality cotton sheets and freshly shaved pins... lush.
