I have got a LH M770 shifter and want to remove the optical display. It says to take it off and put on the "base hole cap" -
I got the shifter OEM from the CRC sale in a bag and did not get this piece.
Anyone know where I can get a base hold cap for a LH shifter

From that roll of electricians tape you have in your tool box. Tape it - its what we did before top caps.

My OEM 2009 XT's (sorry don't know the M number) had the blanking plates hidden behind the displays when I took them off - it clipped into the back of display. Which was nice. Would be worth a look.
