[#10042442]

I have just serviced finished a lower leg service on my lyrik for the first time. I've serviced my previous pike before and did pretty much the same.  All appeared well and I put everything back together.  I then pumped up to 120 psi just to check everything was ok.  All was normal until I let some air out to go down to my usual 55 psi and the stantions sucked themselves up and are now sitting at about 100mm travel.

I'm guessing I've got some air in the wrong place?  I would be very grateful for some help as I'm hoping to go riding tomorrow.

Thanks

did you leave the legs extended when refitting the lowers?

If I didn't have them fully extended how do I fix it?

Too much pressure in the negative spring. Aren’t they supposed to automatically equalise? Have you tried pulling them up and cycling a few times.

Grease in the transfer port thingy?

Did you go straight up to 120, or did you do it in stages and cycle it at each stage?

Possibly a quick fix, let the air out the positive chamber, remove the front wheel and refit the axle, stand on the axle and pull up on the bars until the fork fully extends, you should hear a hiss as it equalizes, re inflate.

You have probably got the negative spring at the pressure for 120psi, and now only have 55psi spring pressure, so its sucked down.

If you pump it that high that quick there is not enough time for chambers to equalize, also the "liberal" amount of grease that sram puts doesn't help.

Give the suspension  some good hard bounces, this may force it to equalize, alterntiveley pull the fork into full travel, you should hear a hissing sound.
