Hi,

Always thought that Hope rear hub is pretty loud one. But friend of mine got some really, really loud one, that leaves Hope sound almost silent 🙂

So what is your suggestion of really loud freehub?

And no, not interested in piece of plastic/cardboard in spokes :p

Cheers!
I.

Acros hubs are super loud. Have 3 settings, much louder than Chris King or Hope

My Syntace ones are pretty loud. They even do a ‘silencer’ kit which is mainly thicker grease...

Never done a dB test but Fulcrums sound nice and loud to me.

It depends on the frame. Some resonate more than others.

The cheaper DT hubs. It's not even a whir like expensive hubs, not enough clicks, sounds more like one of those bank note counters or card shufflers but really loud!

Industry Nine, Torch. Any group ride I've been on they drown out everything else with their fast high pitch buzz.

I9 are very loud, just done a week riding with a chap that had one, it was easy louder than the Hope's on the trip and anything I've heard before. My DT's didn't stand a chance 😀

Just remove the grease and bend the pawls back on a hope hub if you want it louder.

Profile hubs are loud, like a swarm of ticked off wasps.

I've seen a Profile elite laced up as a mountain bike rear wheel and it was loud!
