[#2963774]

Been having some issues lately, first with a set of slx, and now with some saint cranks. Both have been coming loose throughout rides with the non drive side crank loosening off.

Both sets are a couple of years old, bottom bracket is fairly new and there is a new locking bolt on there after the old one fell off and got lost when the crank arm fell off.

Worth saving or are they just dead?

Depends on the state of the spline in the non-driveside arm. If they have been ridden loose then that normally means the spline will be knackered and no matter how much you tighten the pinch bolts it will work loose again. My gut feeling is they are probably knackered.

Pretty much what I thought can't really tell if the splines are gone on arm or not, it's hard to tell, axle splines look ok still.

Axle splines are harder than the ones in the arm so they tend to stay in shape.
