As above. Inches away from biting the bullet on an i900 when I read the following review:
Note: despite the seat post length being 400mm the minimum insertion line is actually really high (~275mm from min insertion to bottom of rail clamp)
Can anyone verify this is the case? If so it's about the same as a Thomson 367mm post, grr. Any other suggestions? Joplin 3s seem very cheap, but I'm yet to see a good word on them. Crank Bros warranty reliable?
Gravity Dropper would be nice, not a fan of having a shim in my Mojo though, the clamp is a bit odd as it is.
Cheers all!
I have had a quick measure of one of my i900Rs and that seems about right. It's long enough for my 6'4" self and my XL Mojo, if that helps. Given how low down the top tube on a Mojo is when it meets the seat tube it is probably a good idea to have plenty of seat post in the frame.
I don't know about their minimum insertion point but aren't Joplins only 380mm long?
Ah perfect comparison Chris, I think I'll just go for the i900 🙂
6'6" here and used to run a 410mm Thomson, it was always about 20-30mm past the minimum point though. My 367mm didn't feel quite long enough and I didn't like running it at the extreme. That said I did just manage to break my Mojo on the top tube though:

It's currently in America getting the front end swapped by the fantastic Hans. He's put it down to a manufacturing fault of 07 models but I'm still a bit paranoid.
TYVM!
