Thinking of getting a some new LiPo packs to go with my new LED light (thanks Trout).

Been looking at some cheap packs off ebay. Packs look identical but one is listed as 3S other as 4S. Same weight and capacity.

So what's the difference?

Was going to use one of these chargers:

any idea if it will work??

The S number is the number of 3.7v cells connected in series, so a 2S pack is 2x3.7vcells making 7.4. Therefore a 3S is 11.1v and a 4S 14.5V.

That's what I thought, but both battery packs listed as 14.8V: some mistake in listing??

Hello,

This is great resource for lipo battery packs. This page explains what they are, how to charge them safely and how to configure them. Adding in parallel and series for example.
