how do these compare to other carbon wheels in terms of give and compliance etc. ? Compared to say mavic XA pros or dt Swiss xmc 1200’s?

They have different lay up options for most rims, when I bought mine they had the option of xc, am and dh. And options for number of spokes.
XC being thinner and lighter, DH being heavier so I guess it's hard to say.

There are several models, as you've probably noticed 😜 I have some 30 mm internal width 29er rims. They are not stiff or harsh. I believe the asymmetric drilled models are stiffer.
