Aldi occasionally have a bike computer with HRM (bike mate IIRC). I have one - it works fine.

Is it a coded one? Decathalon have quite a range of cheap ones (not coded though).
If you are planning on using it in the gym then go for a coded one.
Mine worked fine, but died fairly quickly.
My aldi one has been great for 6 months. Now the temperature and altimeter have died. No great loss.# The heart rate monititor is still good:)
It will probably cause a heart attack through dodgy wiring 😆 😆
