Aldi occasionally have a bike computer with HRM (bike mate IIRC). I have one - it works fine.

All I can see on special is ice-cream (which is pretty tempting as well, I have to admit)

Is it a coded one? Decathalon have quite a range of cheap ones (not coded though).
If you are planning on using it in the gym then go for a coded one.

My aldi one has been great for 6 months. Now the temperature and altimeter have died. No great loss.# The heart rate monititor is still good:)
