Just popped over to the LBS for a new singlespeed chain, and they recommended a KMC Z8S which sounded just the job. The price? Sixteen pounds to you sir!

I thought it sounded a bit much but bought it anyway, just got back and checked on the internet and RRP is £8.99 - available cheaper online.

Taking the pee? Will make me think twice about going back for sure!

Does sound a bit pricey, seeing as it is cheaper everywhere online; even at RRP.

It's showing as an 8 speed chain. Can you use that on a singlespeed? Haven't got a singlespeed so don't know, but thought I'd mention it.

Sitting in a bike shop as I am, I've just checked the RRP of KMC chains
A Z8RB is £15.99
A Z8s is indeed £8.99
Is nip back and explain it to him. He's probably priced it wrong by mistake.
