Recently broke my QR rear axle, in as much as it won't screw out (I'm not that hardcore to have actually broke it properly). As you do I looked to our forum for alternatives to the £110 brand replacement but there looked to be no alternatives.
However, just received a KCNC axle from r2-bike.com, fits perfectly and cost a grand total of 23,50 euro. Looks to be ace quality with a push bottom ratchet that allows you to position it perfectly once snugged up. Happy days, spread the word.
