Hi all.

I have a KS LEV seatpost on a kona process thats only 2 months old.

The post has developed about 15 mm bounce when at full extension. When i took it back to the shop to get it looked at they fobbed me off with "they all do that after a few rides mate, we cant bleed it so it will be 3-4 weeks at the importers if you want it looked at".

Whats everyone elses experiences with these posts ? do they all develop a problem like this ? I ran a reverb for 2 years and it never had a problem like this.

Cheers

Chris

"they all do that after a few rides mate, we cant bleed it so it will be 3-4 weeks at the importers if you want it looked at".

What are they going to bleed? The Cable?

For reference 6 month old one ridden 3/4 times per week is rock solid

it probably is but not really heard the word bleed used with them, as if they are confusing it with a reverb. You might need to bite the bullit and send it back for warranty, who picked them up after the superstar associates mess?

My 2 month old Lev had the same issue and i've also seen another thread on here where others had the same issue. Its a warranty issue with the cartrage. My post was away for 5 weeks but it was over the christmas period so may not be that long for yourself

Who did you buy it from, if you are getting no joy with them then contact http://www.jungleproducts.co.uk/ as they are the importers for KS in the UK

Bike Barn aren't great but you're being very obviously fobbed off as they CBA to send it back. I'd try contacting Roam directly ๐Ÿ™‚

Mine was fine for about 6 months, then locked rock solid in the up position. I checked that I hadn't overtightened the seat clamp and the cable pull in the little box near the collar was fine, so took it back to the shop I purchased from. It came back from the local distributor in a week working again, but with no notes regarding what the problem was. It hasn't gone squishy, yet.

I wasn't surprised in all honesty to have issues at some point. I'd spent the last few years working in bike shops until recently and seen nearly every dropper post we sold (Rockshox, Fox and Thompson) get returned at some point for warranty (apart from the Gravity Dropper). That's probably why they are so bloody expensive, aftersales costs..

I Just spoke to the nice person at Roam who told me that it is the cartridge and that they can be replaced the same day, its the Bike Barn just being idiots.

I shall be having a word with the manager I think.
