I have an older model KS i900 that I have stripped down to clean and re grease, I kept all the parts on a clean white cloth but noticed there was no Bushing that goes on the narrow part of the shaft under the red endcap. Is it only the newer models that have this bushing?

It's just a bottom out stop in reality.
Any old nylon washer or similar would do the same job. Pop to local DIY store or bike shop for a washer if you really feel the need, but I'm sure it'll still be fine without it even if not.

Thanks managed to find a nylon washer from an old plastic screw top from a disused washing machine hose that fits perfec 😀
