I'm considering getting some knee pads as I'm gaining confidence and riding more technical stuff. I mainly ride XC and trail centres so I don't need industrial strength protection.

I've been looking at the 661 Veggies and the Straits.

Any others I should consider?

Also, I'm 6ft2, what size do other 6ft'ers wear?

Well i have recently had a serious knee accident followed by surgery and have decided to buy the Kyle Strait`s ..well impressed and mega comfy and they dont restrict my pedaling either so a thumbs up from me .

I use the 661 Kyle Straits for almost everything now due to my ability to fall off on flat and unimpeeding terrain, am only 5'10" but use the largest size as I have large thighs and calves.

I like the 661 4x4s. They are lightweight and easy to pedal in and add shin protection. I doubt you'll get a serious shin injury but pedal bites hurt and I'm a wuss.

I've recently got some Fox Launch Pro kneepads and they're ace.

Secure, comfy, light and look quite protective.

The L/XL size fits me great and I'm usually a medium in clothes.

I've used the older Veggies (comfy but pretty warm!) and now use Kyle Straits (following a nasty injury last year). Definitely recommended.

Size will depend on how thick your legs are rather than how tall you are ๐Ÿ˜‰

I'm fairly skinny of leg and wear mediums.
