I need to get some knee pads for the passport in 3 weeks. Im not a fan of pads but after clipping a tree in mid air on a table top the other day and cutting my knee to shreds I feel it may be time to wear them.
I see lots wear the 661 pads and I quite like the look of the 661 Rage Knee Guards. Any views on these or better options?? I'm looking for something that wont be too bulky and annoy me too much.
thanks all
The Rage pads are basically identical to the old Kyle Straits, which I had. They were really comfortable but the actual protection wasn't that good.
I've now got some Nukeproof Critical Knee pads and they're so much better than the 661s. There's more protection, they're just as comfortable, they've got silicon grippers to keep them up but the are a bit bulkier.
its more cuts and bashes I guess. I have a pair of hard shell ones which are great protection but I hate riding in them. I will have a look at those nukeproof ones now on the net
+1 for Nukeproof Critical, for pads with such good protection they really are not too intrusive. They stay in place and don't slip, might get a bit hot if was a proper nice day but what pads don't. Sizing was spot on too.
I think CRC had £10 off last time I looked.
Edit: Just checked CRC...back at £45 🙁
I have the 661 evo which are'nt the comfiest but seem to offer lots of protection
661 veggies are fine for me
661 evo knee for me
