Seen a few comments about the wheels on the Tripster ATR thread. But -

Do they actually weigh the same as stated on the website, as that's very light for 'cheap' wheels.

1550g is what they state.

I'm going to struggle to beat that weight without spending double the money!

They are more or less as claimed - I weighed mine when they arrived as I too thought they might be too good to be true!

I probably still have exact weights scribbled down somewhere - I'll try and find them for you later.

I've had mine since July and they have so far shrugged off the abuse of half a 'cross season. Oh and the freehub sounds lovely ๐Ÿ™‚

You're going to struggle to buy any too, they are like rocking horse poo at the moment.

Not a huge rush as new bike is not arrived yet, but the stock wheels will be over a 1lb heavier than these, if the weights are correct.

Yep, weights are pretty much as claimed. Swapped the stock Shimano M475 hub/Alex Rims wheels and cheap cassette on my CdF for these and an XT cassette and lost 2 lbs in weight. ๐Ÿ˜€

They're as claimed but you could have freehub issues. Mine and a few others had to go back to have the freehub sorted under warranty. Apparently there's been an issue with spacing in the hub.
Has been fine for the 100 or so miles it's been back but I have lost the noisy sound (which I liked!) that it had before.

Weight is good, but to get the weight down they use alloy nips and a non-reinforced alloy freehub body. Whether that's a worthwhile way of saving 50g is up to you.
