Hi, anyone use Kamoot for planning off road routes. I downloaded it because it said it had MTB maps but it seems to be suited to road cycling to me?

You need to force it to take tracks you specifically want to use, make sure you select what type of activity you are planning.

Also I find it a lot easier to use a pc to plan as you can display open street and satellite images.

Good for navigation when using imported GPX files, especially abroad.  In UK OS map app, with own planning much better IMHO.  Komoot gets kranky on my oneplus 7 (Android) after a couple of hours of riding.

Agree with post above, you need to force it to use your route rather than it trying to re-route you.  It also tries to turn you around if you run an imported route backwards.

This is key. I use it to plot gravel rides and just pick random destination points and tell it im riding a mountain bike and it always seems to work out keeping me on bridal way and b road. As said if you want to go down specific tails you need to find them and add them to the route yourself.

It’s worth bearing in mind that there are multiple MTB options. I think Alpine is the one you want if you want it to seek out the most Singletrack. As above, I often is the standard MTB option for gravel bike routes.
