On the phone, managed to keep them going for 30 mins which was not too bad, he ended up calling me a "mother f*****" in Indian. Lols i suggested he was fortunate not to be close at hand.

Hope to get them again will try and keep them on for an hour.

Cool!

I always have a go at these kinds of callers.

Good luck with the 60 mins and call who ever calls you a goat humper for me!

30 minutes is pretty good, I've only managed 15, although 5 of those minutes were spent looking for the Windows start button because I couldn't find it 🙂

The 'windows support team' phone you and try and make out your computer is riddled with viruses.

Funny it took me 5 mins to boot up the computer and then 5 mins to find the windows key.

Was actually quite funny.

Just ask them lots of questions and sound really worried, then say, "but i use a Mac so this doesn't apply to me".

My wife said she'd phoned the police, and they got really quite nasty. A very unpleasant business.

Or keep them talking and ask details about the virus, then ask them if its similar to the software used to track someones location during a phone call, then inform them this is the software you develop for a living and they have been talking for the minimum time required to find out their exact location.

I know its not the same but I'm having fun with a debt collection agency at the moment, the wife owes £32.50 to vodafone. They refuse to tell me anything, so I play 20 questions with them, I usually start with is it "Animal Mineral or Vegetable".

I do have fun with callers from companies asking me to verify who I am, I turn it around and ask them to verify who they are. Usually the wont tell me anything due to "data protection" then we have stale mate. They wont tell me anything and I wont tell them anything.

When I asked if they could verify who they were I was put onto the "head technician" who said he was John and that was all he would tell me, other than that my computer would explode if I didn't accept his help.

...minimum time required to find out their exact location

If it's the Indian company their location is available online.
