If I could afford em I'd put a pair on for touring
However a pair of Mary bars probably achieve the same thing
There's quite a few people on here use them. ๐
TITEC do H and J bars very similar but not Ti expensive
Just sold a set of Titec H bars on this site, yes I can see they would be comfortable but I sold them because I could not be bothered to replace my brake hoses and also if I liked them I would have to buy 2 more sets for my othere bikes
The best handlebar in the world, bar none!!!! The mutt's nuts on a singlespeed. Don't work on a gearie unless you use Shimano flippy shifters, though.
The best handlebars in the world are on the bike ahead of you.
Odd's are they won't be jones ๐
I have just got some a few weeks back, and have to say I love them already (which is a good job), very comfortable and lots of hand positions available.
Mary's are narrower and harsher than H-Bars. The new Ragley Carnegies are a similar width to the H-bar but still not as comfy. A lot cheaper though
Just got some carnegies.Very comfy hand position. They shorten effective stem length a bit so I'm going to try a longer stem to maintain cockpit length.Coming off 750mm wide bars they feel mighty narrow tho (even tho they are not). Will persist for a bit but will probably end up selling them as I don't immediately feel the love.
I'm not a fan. I've spurned out this a few times, but when we went on a Dirt School day cynic-al off here was running his Marys and Chris Ball hadn't seen them before. By looking at Al's position he was able to say that the bars were quite a hinderance to being able to descend properly. This guy trains world cup DH'ers. He knows what's right.
I've tried them. I'd put them on my town bike, but don't believe they have any place off road.
I have a set of the ti ones I bought 2nd hand - love them. There is quite a lot of vertical 'give' which makes running rigid a little more comfortable.
LOL at rolfharris.
What a load of shite.
You could do 'reviews' for MBR no problem. ๐
