As per title thinking of heading over for a short break, is it worth taking the bike?
I went over a couple of years ago for 2 week family holiday and took my Orange 5. Way too much bike (think it was the only full sus on the island). They tend to be in to road cycling and whilst there are lots of 'tracks' there isn't anything particularly challenging. Having said that, its a beautiful island so if I went again I'd take my hardtail for exploring.
Lots of hire bikes available for gentle exploring. It's a beautiful island.
I used to live there and there is some great trail riding if you know the trails, ask in the bike shops they'll point you in the right direction, I owned a first gen trance when I was there and that was on the limit of too much travel
