They stay as stroppy teenagers, ours is 12yrs old and still a right bugger (love hime though)

Do be wanred that BC's don't always make the best trail hounds as they are better at short bursts of energy rather than long steady running so unless your into track sprints you could spend alot of time waiting around for him.

Lovely looking mutt though ๐Ÿ˜›

Gorgeous! Ours is now 2 years old and is starting to behave herself. I hope you have a sense of humour when it comes to chewed up flooring... you might need it.
As bigsi said they tend to go crazy over fairly short distances and get tired, but after a short break Millie will then behave more like a trail hound and run along at a steady pace - her forte is short blasts of single track though.

Huxley also wants to be a trail hound, but he's learning about us and his new home before we start on wheel following. He's 3 and been with us 2 weeks.

Be prepared to scrape all sorts of dog 'stuff' from the grooves between your floor boards for a few weeks. Worth it though in the long run, looks good fun

He's 8 weeks in the photos, I didn't get round to posting them earlier, tomorrow he will be 16 weeks...

Already said goodbye to the living room blinds, skirting board and worryingly a patio paving stone!

Here caught in the act of demolishing the living room!

To be honest though, I wouldn't have it any other way

Do you think you'd notice if *someone* borrowed him for a while? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Very cute pup, look forward to seeing updates as he grows up and his trail of destruction increases!

Quite exceptionally cute.

One tiny problem - he's not a trailhound!

@singletracksurfer

A trailhound is a not-quite breed, not just a generic name for a dog that runs on trails. They look similar to foxhounds but are leaner in build. Trailhounds were originally were bred from foxhounds with other crosses to get a faster hound with a good nose, with various crosses tried until the modern evolution arrived, which is a mixture of foxhound, pointer, harrier and sheepdog.

I should know, I have two!

Proper cute looking pup you got there. If you want to know about destruction.......just ask our pointer Buck. He managed to chew through the cable to the hoover while still plugged in and when he was a pup chewed a plug socket off the wall so only the wires were stuck out. Best thing was the fridge was plugged into it at the same time. Plug off the wire too.

He just sat there happily wagging his tail!! Hes now 11 and still has odd daft moments. Dogs are ace.
