Bikes are longer that cars are wide - this means that they overhang the sides of the car when they're on a boot rack. this means that your car is wider and your mirrors are not the widest part of your car any more. that means you need to give cars coming the other way more room. if you dont give them more room they need to go into the verge to avoid a crash.

rs - there is not enough info in there upon which to base a judgement of whether or not there was enough room. for that top happen you would need to know what i was driving and what type of bike the punto was carrying. nice try though.
I think rs is saying that you're still alive.....thus enough space was present!
I recommend swearing and gesticulating wildly at the guy NEXT time or sitting with your arms folded in the middle of the road being angry....
The latter method was tried by a female friend of mine on a narrow bridge and the 20 ton tipper truck took a quarter of her car off on one side and won the arguement!
You could buy a tipper truck and sort him out.....
The biggest crime commited here is owning a Punto in any colour.
i got knocked off by a green fiat punto 👿 hes got a grate big spd scratch up the side of it now
