In the north west peaks, we get less channels than everyone else. could that be the case for you?

Fine here in Redland - can you contact Freeview for info on solving your problem. Is it just ITV4 or other channels as well?

A multiplex of channels - a load of broadcasts on the same frequency

Do you know which transmitter your aerial is pointed at?

I've never heard of that transmitter - are you sure?

anyway the channel numbers above were incorrect - they changed in April
they should be
C30 C43 C46 C50 C53 C57 C60

ITV4 will be on 60 from that transmitter

Mendip will be
C54 C55 C56 C58 C59 C61 C62

ITV4 is on 59

c = channel

C59 simply means Channel 59

How many other channels are you getting? My old digi box only got a hand-full after the switchover and has now gone in the bin. It was very old, though.

What I meant was the actual channel numbers, which ones give you a signal

I'm trying to identify which transmitter you're on

Hang on a minute

I think you're confusing channel numbers with programme numbers

Channel number refer to a frequency & go from 21 to 68
Programme numbers start at 1 & go to whatever

nope, that's not it

go into the setup and look for them
they can't be lower than 21 or higher than 68

I need to go now so read the manual & set a channel to 59 & see how you get on

Cheers for your time and help Uplink, Much time spent trying but this year I wont be watching the tour on ITV4 due to the area I live and its reception. Looks like i'll be going over BT's monthly allowance of 10g for internet usage!!!!!!!!

you can always watch online. http://www.itv.com/sport/tourdefrance/

You live in the middle of Bristol so i am sure reception cannot be an issue - I live in westbury-on-trym, and have no problems.

What box have you got??
