[Closed] its nearly time.....

.....for a new bike!

My 08 Epic Expert has had virtually every component replaced at least once, although the rear brain, DT swiss 420 rims, cranks and saddle are still original. So I feel I've given it a good run.

However, I'm now considering a Carbon 29er XC bike to leave my pals for dust. It could be a hardtail, but ideally not and needs to be XL. My local shop sell main Spesh and I do like the brand, so that will probably be my first port of call....however is there a stand out VFM option worth considering?

I'm getting old (54), okay I'm getting VERY old and as such, although I like to ride hard, I'm not heading for the gnarly stuff too often. Any thoughts would be welcome.
