[Closed] IT help. Dell Studio Hybrid v normal desk top, Pro/Cons?

looking just for a base unit, like the Hybrid due to size but will a lose anything over a normal base unit?

keeping with dell as have screen, printer, speakers etc from them?

just use the PC for email/pics/ and star wars lego PC game (kids honest)

if the spec is like for like and you're not the sort to go opening the box and pull stuff out/put new stuff in, then it really doesn't matter. what you may find with a 'small form-factor' type machine though is that it has a slow hard drive or something daft like that, but TBH for the sort of stuff you want it'll probably be fine so long as you pick something middle of the range.
someone else will be along shortly to give you all sorts of specs and numbers i'm sure.

Like Del says, probably lose the ability to upgrade much.

It'll be more like laptop type components inside, usually pay a premium for 'smallness' if you need to replace due to failure, memory upgrades might be more expensive etc. etc. and prob means the processor is a little down on power but probably fine for day to day stuff.
