Found this dent in the top of my top tube half way along, in the thinnest bit of the tube. Frame is a cove handjob made from Columbus tubing. Dent appears to be 1 or 2 mm deep

Is is going to fail when I hit any drop offs?

If it was near a join I might be a tiny bit worried, in the middle no problem. All IMHO of course. Easy to keep an eye for cracks, too

Perfectly fine in my opinion.
Been riding bikes with much bigger dents.
When they get really dented I pass them onto my girlfriend..

i think you should buy a new frame

I'm sure it'll be fine. More important that the safety aspect however, do the cables cover it so it doesn't spoil the aesthetics! 😉

I've got a dent in the same place & around the same size - mines fine & I ride hard enough to knack things - been like that for around 15 months.

Go ride...
