[Closed] is it worth spending the money on??

hi all
i'm overseas living in perth aus. have got back into mtbing after seeing some of the trails over here. stuff the heat.
anyway , i went and bought a giant yukon (the hardtail with dart 2's)
as i thought it was all just coastal paths here. bugger.
do you think it's worth throwing more money at this bike to try and build it up well , or as i suspect , will it be money better spent on f/s bike and keep it for a commuter??
it seems like i'd be changing virtually everything to get a good bike at the end.
by the way , i used to be on this forum a lot when i lived in uk, and its great to be back. can't remember my old user name though. still recognise some certain individuals. 😉
