Warped in various places along the edge - a consistent wobble so to speak. I've tried my best with finger pressure and pliers. No good.

Probably, your LBS should have the park rotor tool for sorting it out.

Wakling downhill with brakes on makes perfect sense Rob.

OP usually it's striaghtforward, but if you've tried and failed then it may be beyond you.

bit like straightening a rim, it might not be worth the effort.

i like the two adjustable spanner approach.

It can be done with a press, but the labour cost is more than the price of a rotor. Buy a new rotor from superstar and save the old one to add to your scrap pile for the next time you pass a scrap metal merchant and recycle it for cash!
