Anyone having problems with the live feed on an iPad? Mac is OK, but iPad is just a grey screen.

Yep I'm having the same issue, been sat here trying every site I could think of to find it. Got the missus' Mac fired up now, cheers for the tip.
On the Red Bull app now. 😀
Doh...app, of course
Cheers Simwit.
conditions look to be getting worse?
gwins done maybe just enough
boooooooooooooo.
2nd and 3rd ain't bad though, with a few more Brits in the top 10.
who's the idiot doing the interviews?
What happened to beumont? Great ride from Gwin and Danny!
I hope that top seat was comfy, he's spent half the day on it...
I don't know the track at all but it seems they've managed not to show the bit where it was won & lost - seems a shame. Is it totally inaccessible or something ?
under the trees which doesn't allow for the long panning shots that TV seem to like.
they prefer to have each of their 8 (?) cameras out in the open where they can get 5-10 seconds of footage rather than 1-2 seconds of flyby
Never enough cameras to show a full course but this one was really dull to watch.
The woods must be harder to film in... One camera up on the higher part can cover a huge area, but the woods is much tighter and darker, a camera'll get a bike for just a couple of seconds. Definately a shame though- it made the track feel a bit lacking in variety and as if it was about a minute long
Also, they really, really like Twin Atlantic don't they? It was wall to wall Free last week and at the XC eliminators...
Downhill mountain biking in dull viewing shocker!
Are there any videos of that new motorway section kicking about? It looks hellish.
you'd think for one or two races a year someone would pay for a helicopter to film the top 5/10 qualifiers

+1
how's about helmet/chest cams like F1 in car cameras?
Kind of glad I didn't go now 🙁
I've been trying to watch the rerun on the iPad app but I'm just getting random bike videos. 😕
Good to see he's rattled eh? 🙄
Good to see he's rattled eh?
He won! He probably doesnt get rattled.
I hadnt realised Sam Hill hasnt raced much for the last couple of seasons, good to see him back up there though, especially on a track that he never seems to excel on.
davidtaylforth - I was being sarcastic 🙂
thisisnotaspoon - Memberhow's about helmet/chest cams like F1 in car cameras?
Gopro has wireless functionality now, though how practical that'd be to implement reliably, I don't know. They wouldn't have got any decent footage that way for most of today though, and I can't see many of the top riders wanting to wear one on a race run.
I thought a camera near the wallride would have been worthwhile though... Not that it'd really show what's happening in the woods but it'd give a bit of an impression that there actually is a woods for something to happen in at least 😉 And road access too for setup.
Surely it wouldn't cost that much to have a few fixed cameras through the woods? I know you'd still have to set up the feeds but it must be doable surely?

his record isn't terrible...
i know it was foggy and crap, but that coverage was a bit pants.
the filming was pretty poor barely got a minute of each run
there are some very innovative film makers out there, would love to see some of them get the chance to do some live filming, could someone capture the atmos the way they do on the retroscpective worldcup vids or even freeride stuff?
It's got to be a tricky sport to film live- after all even at the top of the table the rider gaps are shorter than the runs, and further down the table the gaps are much shorter so you have multiple riders on track pretty much all the time. And the practicalities of filming must make it difficult. Frinstance, today there were cameras up on the moor that barely got used because they were only good for showing that it was really horrible weather.
I have no idea about camera/crew costs though.
I'd sooner get higher quality delayed coverage tbh but most folks want live I reckon.
Just come back from watching the racing at fort bill
The speed they take the rocks at is unbelievable
The t.v coverage just dosent show the steepness and speed it is mental

I can see some of them objecting on the grounds of being sponsored by contour etc, but then they could use their sponsors cameras (or ban sponsorship by camera companies and get blanket sponsorship for the series from gopro/contour/etc).
It's not really that in the way, and most of the riders wanted rules saying they had to run peaked helmets and baggy clothes so they've already lost that argument anyway!
Quite humbling when Rachel Atherton boosts the second last jump in practice and clears it bigger and cleaner than anyone else I saw, male or female.
Ace day.
Best 3 days of the year. Steve Smith, Peaty, Rachel, Athy & Slugger sticking it to adversity, not to mention Tomas Slavik trying to eat my pasta pot.
So inspired, phenomenal place to be. Good to be home.
Anyone up the Pentlands tomorrow to pretend we're just as good on bikes?
We drove straight past the clag ridden munro we were supposed to be climbing and went straight to the World Cup. My friends first and she seemed to love it, especially the crowd reaction when one guy lost his feet and saddle/belly surfed all the way down the biggest slab, but rode it out, horrified silence followed by huge cheers when he carried on.
Mark Beaumont dinged his rear rotor I think, it was passing through the calliper but locking the wheel, guess that might have caused it to overheat as well?
Good to catch a few familiar faces on the course as well *wonders if Paulgillespie has made it out of the bus queueues yet*
cfinnimore, I'll be out in the Pentlands once this week but not tomorrow, probs wednesday. I'll post up on here.
Good result for the English lads n lasses - Well done!
Shame Marc B didn't podium tho.
Atlaz - got anything else to add appart from sarcasm?
13thfloor, I forgot my manners....of course it's going to be Wednesday! Standard...
I'll try not to moto whip the Inbred just yet then, inspired by Slugger SMASHING his rear into the ground, your explination might explain his attitude to said wheel.
It seems he is human, just a bloody good one at dh racing. The rest of the field need to up there game now or wait on another prodigy to come through.
