Out of interest, and not because i'm about to order one, what size would suit someone 5'11?

How leggy/torso-y are you?

I'm 5ft 8in with along torso and medium is perfect for me, so I'd think large would be bob-on for you - unless you are particularly short of torso.

There's a "find your size" link on the listing. It's not entirely helpful...

I'm 5'10.5 and I'd think I'd rather have the medium but I do have long limbs.

If its any help, I'm 5'8" as well on a medium (my Five is also a medium and my Alpine is a small though!). Looks like in the website redesign they've dropped the really useful guide that simply showed suggested height ranges for each frame size. From what I can remember, I was sort of middle/upper end of a medium and having ridden large Orange full bouncers before, don't feel massively out of place on one. I'd suggest a) giving them a call as they're dead helpful and b) probably a large at 5'11".

hmm, i was very tempted... but no (usable) bottle bosses is a deal breaker.

Yeh, would have been nice but I always ride with a camelback or bum bag thing with a water bottle holder on it so no biggy. Of the options I was looking at, the loss of a useful bottle mount was less of an issue than having something with a bazillion bearings I'd need to look after 😀

Orange might be able to do some kind of replaceable dropout set-up, or maybe not - I'm just saying what I want, not what's possible 😆

They look absolutely ideal for a high/low dropout to me but the packaging is  tricky and can get ugly, too. And those swingarm tip forgings are really nice and definitely made the bikes stiffer and lighter than the old style simple beams.

I <suspect> Orange got quite badly burned with that period where so many of the new design swingarms cracked at the dropout- that was a big flagship change when they went to the new style of swingarm and then they had very public problems with that join.

Which is all resolved now, and not directly connected but is the sort of thing that sticks in your head if you're thinking of adding extra complexity in the same place. And you definitely don't want to have similar failures in the future making people go "Oh all orange dropouts break", even when they're completely unconnected, that sort of shit sticks even when it's unfair.
