the bearing sits in the actual frame is this integrated?

this fit? seems cheap and we are off to alps for the bh weekend so i really ought to fix it as the old one is gravelly

Looks like it. I've been using the lifeline integrated headsets from Wiggle. Can get one with a carbon top cap for 15 quid. ๐

A lot of specialised bikes are campag type, not integrated pressed into the frame, only the bearings are replaceable not the headset. It is important to look after them, grease them regularly and replace bearings at first sign of wear.
