Just had the families bikes nicked on our way home from Wales. Thought everything would be ok. as we were insured for up to £3500 per bike. This is on our house contents insurance with 'More Than'. Then the fun starts; first wait for the Loss Adjuster, still ok. had all the receipts and replacement costs from LBS. Then referred to so called Validation Team. They didn't have all the useful info I had already given to Loss Adjuster, same, same questions. Then they tell me they are going to find replacement bikes from their two suppliers; Evans and Wheelies. The guy keeps going on about same spec. We lost a Whyte E120 Trail, a Spec. stumpy elite and a Isla Creig. Isla Creig not on their data base! doesn't understand that Whyte and Spec. have changed the geometry and spec, and we now want bikes of similar value but which suit our riding. Am I out of order or are the hangers on to the insurance companies worst than the thieves???
