[#1852537]

I have spent too long on this forum and have now committed to buying a steel hardtail frame. It looks like it will be a nice soul. After having a quick spin on Keswick bikes medium demo I have decided it will be a large frame.

Cy tells me that they'll be arriving late August. In the meantime I need some inspiration for the build.

Please post pics of your Cotic Soul builds.

I love mine! Had it since March, from Dales Bike Centre where I had a demo. I've got mostly SLX kit on it, with Stans 355 Hope Hoops and RS Revelations (100-140 U-Turn) - adjustable forks really suit it, it's nice and quick in my local singletrack @100mm, then comes into its own on trips to anywhere rocky with them wound out a bit.

Please excuse the poor quality picture and half built state of the bike.

Coil pikes (run at 120mm), short stem, wide bars and fat sticky tyres. It's a little bit portly but it really is awesome fun.

Been my only mtb for the last 2 years, and I think it's generic hard tail'tastic;

I would highly recommend adjustable travel forks so as you can see what suits you best. I normally run mine at 100mm but YMMV.

Oh and spds binned and replaced with flat boys... ๐Ÿ™‚

I cannot figure out the code for the photo - sorry - too old I guess...

Magura Marathon 140's - a bit leggy but light and stiff.
Chris King Hubs, BB, headset.
Stan's Arch 360's with 2.4" Nobby Nics, tubeless - 2.1" MudSharks in winter.
Ritchey stem, seatpost, handlebars - because I wanted white, mostly, but good and light as well.
Brakes, crank, pedals, mech all XT. XTR shifters.
Still wish the saddle were tan...

I'm 5'8" and run a small frame with a 70 mm stem, a recent change from 90mm. Some das I think I could have gone with a medium frame, but this is excellent in techy twisty stuff. I love this bike.

120mm works best for me and just under 6 foot on a medium.

Had mine a few months and love it. Revs 110-140 U-Turns, 317's on Pro II's, rides up very well and put a smile on your face on the way down.

Cracking bike.

@ Chucky - they look like High Rollers to me, 2.5 at a guess (I have 2.35s, but they come up fairly small IME)

I've got 2.35 HR's on mine and they aren't that big. Those arch rims are wider than my 355's so that and it being a 2.5 probably explains why they look so big.

Yes DT Swiss XMC 130s They are super plush really light. I got a good deal on them from CRC, maybe its the same one?

Work really well on the soul, push the button for 100mm travel on the climbs, and launch control means you are at 130 for all the descents.

Bernaard..Great looking build. Is this a custom paint job? If so, what is it and where did you get it done?

Builder's Tea. That's a great colour! I was very tempted when I saw on in the Lakes.

Lovely with white forks.

Bought the frame out of classifieds, had been re-coloured by Argos and the guy included some custom made decals for me to apply.
