So I did the Nocturne at the Bike Show today.
25 mins + 5 laps.
I counted about 8 tumbles, including one poor chap pootling around the pits.
It was slidier than the snow biking of late - smooth concrete floor. I found it harder to stay upright than most MTB rides!?
No surprises that the winner was a handy cross rider.
Good fun and recommend it for next year if you've got a road bike to throw around.
Yeah, having watched motorbike stunt shows on exhibition hall floors I was wondering about grip!
I rode the 3rd cat race yesterday. The corners had a super-grippy carpet down - I was turning steeper than on the road. The carpet was a bit late starting on one corner, and early finishing on another, and I had a few slips on the late start one as I worked out the line. It was brilliant fun, and great to be cheered on by a big crowd.
