Loads of knock-off Shimano SL cleats on eBay and Amazon. Anyone use them? Are they inferior?

Not Shimano, but I used some imitation Look cleats a while ago. difficult to quantify why, but they felt different to the original ones, almost like the tolerances were out and so they felt a bot vague.

Either way, I've gone back to OE stuff now.

Been using the Imitation Look cleats for years. Only died once.
Feel absolutely fine to me. I’ve used a mixture of Amazon and Decathlon.

I bought what I thought was genuine SPD-SL but it was a copy / fake.

The blobs came off first ride and they never clipped in/out as well as original. It looks like where my sole curves the genuine ones would hold their shape but the copies would distort slightly.

I bought some from a pound shop and been using them for a while now. Deffinitley not as good as orginal ones but not too bad. Takes more effort to clip in, and they wear quicker. When I run out, think I have 2 more pairs left,  I'll buy proper ones again.
