I have a bit of leave to use, and fancy a few days away riding somewhere. I'm thinking somewhere coastal, probably camping along the way. Don't mind if its roads/cycles routes/bridleways/trails etc or a mixture.

Anyone have any itinerary ideas?

Not coastal, well not until the end but you could attempt to ride the whole of the south downs way? You could stop at around 40 miles and have a play on the new red route at QE country park.

Sarn Helen if you want to get a move on. If you're not too bothered about being near the coast, The Pennine Bridleway from Middleton Top to as far as you can or want to get.

I don't know if you're within reach of northern Scotland but if you are I highly recommend this

All great, thanks. I may well be tempted away from the coast by some of them.

Letus know which you choose and how it went. I am planning to do the south downs this year if I can regain some fitness but I want to do it all in one ๐Ÿ™‚

imnotamused - how suitable would that trip be for a CX bike as opposed to MTB ?

A cx bike would be fine, a bit bumpy as its a rocky quad bike track but I guess that comes with the territory of a cx bike wherever you go!

The Trans Cambrian is very tempting - I live in mid Wales at the moment but I think exploring it would be quite nice. At the moment, it is a toss up between that and Devon coast to coast.

Unfortunately northern Scotland would be a bit far for a few days but if I enjoy myself this time around I will give it a go next year.
