While riding in the Peaks on Saturday, I hopped off a bump as I often do, but this time the front wheel got stuck in deep mud and flipped me over the bars. I dusted myself down to discover I'd split my knee in the exact same place I'd had stitches from a previous crash.
If I'd worn knee pads I wouldn't have wasted 3 hours of my Saturday afternoon in A&E waiting to get stitched up 🙁

But people will point at you and laugh and make all sorts of 'stormtrooper' and 'over-biked' comments. Now you have stitches and possibly a scar (which apparently chicks dig).

3 hours ... hmm, shan't complain at the 80 minute turn-around for my sutures on Saturday then.
