Are the ones that are compatible with a Shimano rear mech any good?

I like my attack shifters with XT mechs. Work well for me and have done for years!

Might as well go Shimano now given that they're dual release.

Have used an Attack shifter with an XT mech for a couple of years. The Attack shifter doesn't feel like an X7/X9/Xwhatever because it pulls 1/2 as much cable (the Shimano way). The action is light but a bit clunky.

The Attack is not a bad shifter but it is not as good as, say XT/SLX. Better than Deore though.
