A few days ago I asked for advice on Hope external BBs as my Shimano ones had given up after just 50 hours of riding.
Imagine how silly I felt when I realised that me rear QR was not too tight and was the actual cause of the creaking as I rode....
Mr Shimano, Very very sorry. Your external BB's are ok afterall...

They are still crap.

Mike, you're talking through your asre. Anybody who used SKF bottom brackets will know they last forever (unless you wash them in a tin of degreaser as I learnt one day). External BBs lasts ok if it isn't too wet and muddy.
