i've always wondered, how those bikes steer(am no engineer).how does it ride?nice bike though!!!
wtf is going on with the chain?
rolf, chain gets longer as the suspension compresses so it needs a tensioner,,
as you can see conventional is not a religion I follow
why not put the tensioner where it won't get broken as easily i.e. in the right place?
I cannot see what the tensioner is attached to, and that makes me nervous...
I was more interested in what the M8 nut and bolt do. โ
There appears to be one on the non-drive side too.
a normal alfine set up has anti rotation washers that life in the dropout slot,,, that doesnt work with the whyte dropouts so i made up two little torque arms which rest against the bolts,, there is only load in one direction,,
also I now have quick release alfine setup no nuts and spanners just one cable to release
the tensioner is an old sunn dh device bb mounted ,, it's been on my full suspension single speeds for about 10 years it went to the ss worlds in 2001
I'd be interested in seeing any close ups of your QR setup.
/scrub that, I just remembered about your bobbins. Cunning! ๐
BTW, am I right in thinking you were involved in the design of that?
a normal alfine set up has anti rotation washers that life in the dropout slot,
Now it makes sense ๐
