As the Polaris Challenge has been cancelled this spring. A few of us who were going to do it have decided to take a trip to the Howgills for a home grown Polaris style weekend. Big riding in big country in an area that non of us has ridden before. Maps and compasses rule.

The next question is slightly contradictory having said that. What routes can be recommended in the area. I have those in ST50, so stringing a couple of those together for day 1 (aiming of 7 hours of pedalling) and day 2, 5 hours do those in the know suggest.

Any help would be much appreciated. Have a copy of OL19.

Thanks.
