How do you clamp aero or similar framesets in a workstand? Thinking of dusting off the TT bike and getting it set up ahead of time.
There's something called a Silca Hirobel which is meant to work well, but it's 180 euros. Anyone improvised something good from a piece of wood and some string?

I clamped my Madone by the seatpost with a cloth wrapped round it.
park recon their micro-adjust clamps will just clamp an aero tube (vid at bottom)
I just balance the bike by the top tube in the jaws of the clamp. I don’t tighten them however, just close them enough so they are lightly touching the carbon so it doesn’t fall off the stand. Done this for years on lots of expensive lightweight carbon frames and never had an issue
My "workstand" is a cheap wheel on turbo usually, though I used my smart trainer as a mule when I built my last bike up 😁
I thought clamping the frame was best avoided as it's too easy to accidentally overtighten without realising and damage it. So clamp at the seatpost which is usually easier to replace.

I do the same, wrap a cloth around the top tube and lightly tighten it
