I'm selling a set of Fox 32 Float 120 RL, The OEM ones off a Stumpy 07 FSR comp and i know they come with a spacer in to reduce the travel to 120mm but does anyone know how much travel you can get with the spacer removed? assuming someones done it before.
Ta Rich
Possibly 130mm, IIRC
130mm according to this: http://www.foxracingshox.com/fox_tech_center/owners_manuals/07/eng/oe_custom_products/float_120rl.htm
2007 ones were 140mm. I rememeber reading reviews that they were really quite flexy at that travel, but not a problem at 120mm
Follow the link on here to the 2007 forks, the float X (terralogic) was 130mm, the RLC, RL and R were 140mm
So once you hit something they stop being flexy?!
I've read that too and can't quite get my head round it, granted, the legs may be a tad longer, but not to the degree that they would spoil the ride.
I've actually got some 140's in the garage that came on my commy. They're very good forks
