Your bike of course! ๐Ÿ˜• on Top or on the back.

I've ordered bars and carriers but have I done good?

on top, inside or on the back.

Mostly inside if it's just me, on the back with family.

Inside. Just feels safer and presumably it's good for your MPG, not having two big, tall, randomly shaped things altering the aerodynamics of your car.

Inside. But 2 kids and a week's worth of family kit means it's a struggle and I'm looking at on the back (the tandem already goes on top most of the time). When I get a new car it's a choice between a big MPV or an estate the same size I currently have but fitting a tow bar to take a bike rack.

You got a two seater?! Can get three bikes in the 206 with kit. had 3 dh bikes in my old 306 and 1 on the back before now with 4 passengers. That was a comfy drive!

PS, on the back when riding locally etc. Inside for longer journey as my rack seems to knock off 4-5mpg

rather have the bikes inside and use a roof box.

*Can do 4 bikes/2 people and stuff in a 206.* - you both take a spare with you just in case njee ๐Ÿ˜‰

Inside or on back. Rarely up top, but just because I just dont trust myslelf not to absent mindedly zoom into a height restriction.....

However, FWIW I think those expensive Thule top thingys are the least faff option for 2 + bikes.

Inside if it's just my bike, using my home made mount-clamp thing....

[IMG] [/IMG]

I've also managed to use this for two bikes, with the second bungee tied to the side of my frame (handlebars removed) and a weekend worth of bike/camping gear.

If I go anywhere cycling with the other half, then it's both bikes on the roof; would prefer a rear mounted rack but the car came with roof rails thrown in, so I just needed to buy a couple of carriers.

On top - have four 591's attached to the roof rack.
More than four and there is room for one more inside.

ahem, from behind, if required - room for 3 bikes on the rack.
preferably still from behind - open wide - the boot, that is, drop 2 bikes in and off you go... with some thought could likely get 3 bikes and riders in the car, Seat Leon, but that involves thinking....... ๐Ÿ˜‰

On the back. Inside was ok, but too much faff taking muddy wheels off in the cold, and getting the car dirty on the inside. Towball mounted Thule (other brands are available) is ace. Quick fitted. Quick bikes on, clean(ish) car, warm(er) fingers.

Wheels off and in the back of the car. Can fit 2-3 bikes in my Fiesta, but there are only 2 seats as all the back seats have to go down.
