Have been gifted a set of old hope hubs, nice. was thinking of using them as a set for the mud tyres to hop on either of my bikes or to tart up to mrs S's. For the former the axels would need to be swappable. Doesn't look like it from the hope drawings but just wondered if anyone had done a [s]reach[/s]workaround, thinner bearings or some such?

I looked into it 6 months ago, and decided it wasn't worth the bother. I don't think the front is possible to do 15 at all and the rear to 12 would involve silly little bearings

Good stuff, thought as much, will knock about a pound off the Mrs's wheels so probably better used there.
